나치 기록 박물관의 전시물 하나하나를 넘기며, 어딘가에서 본 적 있는 얼굴들이 떠올랐다. 권력 앞에 침묵했던 군중, 그리고 그 침묵을 깨뜨리려 했던 소수의 용기. 무거운 발걸음 끝에 먹은 레베르케제 한 조각이 — 그 소박한 맛이 — 오늘 하루의 무게를 조금은 내려놓게 해줬다.
Turning each exhibit at the Nazi Documentation Center, familiar faces came to mind. The crowds who stayed silent before power, and the few who dared to break that silence.
